About
Farasazan avijeh bed joint reinforcement
Farasazan Avije company started its activities since 2010 and
along with the advancement of technology in the construction
industry , it has introduced a technical, safe, standard and
economic product called Avijeh bed joint reinforcement , which
is intended to stabilize masonry walls against lateral forces such
as winds and earthquakes . This product includes connecting
parts and various accessories and has a technical certificate
from the Road, Housing and Urban Development Research
Center .
Bed reinforcement plays a crucial role in reinforcing and
strengthening walls against earthquakes, to the extent that the
use of this product has been emphasized in international and
national regulations, standards, and publications with the aim
of improving the quality of building
What is Bed joint reinforcement ?
Bed joint reinforcement is a steely product made of a pair of
wires for regular blocks or two thin flat wires for AAC blocks,
coated with galvanization to prevent corrosion .
These two wires are connected by diagonal or ladder-type
wires. Bed reinforcement is used to enhance the structural
performance of masonry walls by providing tensile resistance
due to the weakness of masonry materials in tension against
lateral loads such as wind or earthquakes. It can also be utilized
to reduce the risk of cracking around openings or as a result of
movement, including shrinkage control. In other words, it
reduces cracking caused by thermal stresses . As a result, the
reduction of cracking increases resistance to water penetration.
Bed joint reinforcement calculator software :
This software is designed in accordance with the ACI 530
American code and Regulation 729 of the Organization of
Planning and Budgeting of the country. The operation of this
software is as follows: all elements related to the wall must be
completed. If the software output is 1 or less, the wall is in a
safe position, and the number of bed joint reinforcements
entered into the software is considered acceptable. Otherwise,
the number of bed joint reinforcements used in the wall should
be increased .
